HDTV
A group of manufacturers, retailers and broadcasters are pushing ahead with a campaign to ensure universal availability of HDTV in the UK.

Freeview viewers will need more bandwidth, but HDTV is already available to paid-for satellite and cable viewers.

The plans are being drawn up to auction off the airspace required for HDTV to work on the Freeview platform and this is not good at all as it means viewers would not have access to the technology.

The campaigners want universal availability but Ofcom is arguing the point with different excuses rather than solutions.

The campaign is called HDforAll and you can read in more detail at BBC News

  1. Money, Money, Money the thing that makes the world go around and companies make plays for whole market shares.
Welcome to the world of business where the consumer takes second place.
