Windows Vista is Microsoft’s most secure platform to date but this does not mean to say Windows Vista is the most secure operating system around.
As far as we can tell the actual security features in Windows Vista Home Premium and Home Basic will amount to little and really could have been just a free upgrade that windows XP could have had (saving you $200 on buying the vista upgrade).
Most of the security enhancements touted in Windows are in the higher visions of the operating system.

We like the way CNET put it in one line “That $200 Windows XP service pack called Vista

So this leaves us with one question, How much new security really made it into the home editions of Vista?
