Google Developing Program to Help Academics Exchange Huge Amounts of Data

Google’s open source team is working on ways to physically transfer huge data sets around the world (up to 120 terabytes in size).
What Google has been doing is sending a hard drive system to scientists but before they pass it to researchers they copy the data.
The program they are developing will help academics around the world exchange huge amounts of data.

Broadband is getting faster in the UK

Although Broadband Britain is speeding up their are many people who have been sold “up to 8Mbps” services and are still getting substantially slower connections.

Is Google falling apart?

On display again this week for Google is the fragile status of its YouTube unit, many companies are pulling the plug.
The National Hockey League is yanking videos from YouTube, Viacom (VIA) said they will zap their videos over startup rival Joost and to TOP ALL THIS OF the deal between Google and CBS seems to be falling apart (so it says in today’s Wall Street Journal).
Things are not looking good for Google’s YouTube.
