Kevin Finisterre started a website in January revealing a different bug in Apple systems each day of the month which caused ripples in the Mac community and got Apple to recently issue a patch to plug holes outlined by Finsterre.

The password trends show that the average user cares less about choosing a strong password and more about memorability.

Our life these days is largely dependent on passwords whether shopping online, transferring funds or sending emails passwords have a part to play.

With fraudsters more and more turning online to get money and we all hear about security breaches and fraud stories all the time.

Spam Email Has Infected Computers

This hoax also infected Digg’s upcoming last week :) A spam e-mail with messages including “Fidel Castro dead” and “Saddam Hussein safe and sound” contains a virus which has infected thousands of computers, Spain’s Association of Internauts has said.

Swedish Bank Hackers Take $1.5 million

Swedish bank Nordea has suffered the biggest web-based fraud in history after more than eight million Swedish kronor ($1.5 million) disappeared as a result of tailor-made trojans launched by Russian criminals. Up to 250 customers at Sweden’s largest bank are thought to have been hit by the attacks, which took place over a period of three months.
